GTI Instructors

Travis comes to GTI with a combined 12 years of Military and Law Enforcement experience. He has completed assignments with Third Battalion Third Marine Division, First Battalion Third Marine Division, and Chief Instructor of Third Marine Division Regimental Schools prior to joining a local Sheriff’s Office in the southeast.

While in Law Enforcement, Travis worked in the County Patrol, Narcotics Division, and the K-9 Division. He has attended numerous specialty schools including Basic and Specific Skills Instructor, Ground Defense Instructor, Undercover Narcotic Techniques, K-9 Narcotics Detection, and Advanced Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Training. Travis was a member of the Special Response Team (SRT) where he was assigned as a Spotter and Sniper before moving to the Entry Team.

During his time in the Marines and as a member of the SRT team, Travis gained substantial leadership experience on a small unit level, in both basic and advanced SWAT and Close Quarters Battle tactics. His experience was gained through numerous combat missions, stronghold assaults, and high-risk search warrants.
