Government Training Institute Statement of Capabilities (SOC)

Introduction to GTI
The Government Training Institute (GTI) was founded in 2003 to address the needs of law enforcement and military throughout the United States with research based training. Currently, over 30 different courses contain a cooperative curriculum base and ongoing research from the staff of GTI with over 400 years of operational military and law enforcement experience. GTI also works directly with law enforcement and military personal to custom design training curriculums to fit their specific needs and requirements. GTI's courses are offered at either of our South Carolina facilities or as Mobile Training Teams Deployment (MTT) worldwide.

GTI Barnwell Complex (aka AGNS)

  • Over 20,000 square feet of movable CQB structures. (SIMMS and SRTA capable)
  • 400,000+ square feet of multiple usage buildings for CQB training
  • 40' rappel and fast rope tower
  • Buildings with up to 60'+ external walls for rappel and ascending training
  • Live fire range up to 300 meters - Explosive breaching range
  • Low and no light training environments - WIC training area
  • Thousands of feet of confined space training zones
  • 20+ acres of wooded ground for access and observation training
  • Computer simulator
  • Mat room for arrest techniques and hand to hand training

Special Operation Facility
What GTI's Facilities Provide:

  • Training in ascent for high angle approaches IRAT system (for current OIF, SSE operations)
  • Sniper Approaches
  • Assaulter Coverage for multi-floor adjacent target exploitations
  • Bail out system for:
    • "Landslide" training scenarios
    • Current operations
  • Recovery rotary wing operations, one system usage for:
    • Snipers
    • Assaulters
    • Special Reconnaissance Teams involved in urban operations

military training

Special Operation Facilitation
Independent Training Options for AGNS:

  • CQB training offering possibly the most demanding and complex tactical scenarios available in a non-combat environment.
  • Opportunity for SOCOM units to train with limited restrictions.
This entails the ability for customers to conduct subsequent breaching operations, live fire, simmunitions and SRTA training in realistic, "true to life" environments.
  • Ability to facilitate operational amenities such as:
    • Secure Weapons Storage
    • Secure High Explosives Storage
    • Operational Capabilities/ Training Secrecy based upon unit's nature
    • Elimination of ammo/ high explosive draw and delivery to training (GTI can supply all training consumables to training site, allowing units to show up to train and train only without additional duties).
  • Military Free Fall capable drop zones which includes the ability for units who conduct tactical MFF operations on realistic and difficult drop zones.
  • Military sport and demonstration parachute operations (due to the uniqueness of the drop zones/ facility roof top and surrounding area landings)
  • Ability to conduct rotary wing operations (landing zones and pick up zones for "unique" approach airframes)
  • Explosive breaching shots on current developed charges along with "research" charges for specific target defeat i.e. double/ triple/ course brick/ re-enforced concrete/ poured concrete/ adobe style constructed walls.
  • Range complexes offering multi-range targets and ability to conduct "stress" events utilizing a majority of nonstandard firing positions.
  • High angle and urban sniper training.
  • Ability to conduct full mission profile training events for units with special reconnaissance and sensitive site exploitation mission specific tasking.
  • "True to life" reconnaissance/ surveillance target acquisition with an active facility.
  • Opportunity for organizations to train in a decommissioned nuclear facility for their specific mission of threat analysis/ area defense/ re-take operations(Tier 1/2/DOE).
