Scott Gunderson
Director of Training, Tactics, Firearms, Military & Anti-Terrorism
Mr. Gunderson’s areas of expertise include; conventional and non-conventional breaching techniques, close quarters combat (the Military equivalent to civilian SWAT), rifle, pistol and shotgun marksmanship, operation and mission planning, weapons maintenance and long range marksmanship -- all complimented by his over twenty years of Military service.
Scott served his initial enlistment in the US Army Military Police Corps where he was assigned to the security detail for a nuclear weapons storage facility in Germany. In this capacity, Mr. Gunderson was responsible for the security, protection and accountability of nuclear weapons of various caliber and tonnage. While serving at the nuclear site, he was assigned as team leader for a security alert team whose responsibility was to act as first responders to attempts to breach or compromise the facility security systems.
After his mission with the Military Police, Mr. Gunderson was assigned to an infantry unit in the 101st Airborne division, where he was responsible for the training, tactical and technical proficiency and accountability of a Scout Sniper squad. He graduated from the Basic and Primary Noncommissioned Officer Courses where he was trained in developing and presenting training, both in the classroom and field settings for his peers and subordinates.
Scott served the remainder of his Military career with the US Army Special Forces throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. While serving in Special Forces, he attended physically and mentally demanding training, as well as, Combat Operations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Haiti and Bosnia.
Mr. Gunderson holds the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in a Combat environment among numerous other military awards and decorations.
