As professionals of law enforcement and military organizations, it is important to direct our resources toward countering and preventing extreme violence as through numerous attempted and successful terrorist attacks. Earlier this month GTI Sr. Instructor, Peter Spagnolo, presented these issues to an audience of law enforcement professionals from the Bahamas, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina. It is my firm belief that together we can accomplish anything! Because it is so very important to study the ideology of the individuals who commit or advocate acts of terrorism, the process by which these ideas develop and the factors that influence the behaviors of extremist groups, GTI will continue the counterterrorism speakers circuit while continuously adding relevant courses to our curriculum. There is a lot of work to be done but fortunately we have some great people in office who are whole heatedly concerned with the safety and security of our country.

Close Quarters Battle Course (3 Days)
The Close Quarters Battle course is designed around proven principles and tactics for close quarters battle. Emphasis is placed on initiative based "free flow" techniques that enhance success in operator's decisiveness and maneuverability. Students gain an understanding of proven "problem solvers' techniques for hostile situations. Students receive maximum amounts of practical applications for conducting close quarters battle with emphasis placed upon single/ multiple rooms, hallways, stairways and complex structure designs with additional training options for hostage rescue operations, CQB supported marksmanship, linear assaults, tactical breaching and live fire multiple room exercises.
The Government Training Institute is offering a three day custom Rappel and Fast Rope course designed to enhance and develop the capabilities of the student. The student will learn proper gear selection and inspection along with procedures, tactics and techniques on both fast rope and rappelling. The student will be tested during every phase with an emphasis on safety. At the conclusion of this course the student will leave with a greater sense of confidence as well as an understanding of the inner workings on both fast rope and rappelling.
