In Memory of a Fallen Officer
Deputy Sherrif Daniel Martin Browne-Sanchez
End of Watch: February 10, 2007

GTI offers our respects for the loss of one of our friends and former student, Daniel Martin Browne-Sanchez. Daniel was off duty, when a man entered the restaurant bar with a gun and began firing, then demanded money. Daniel was shot while wrestling the man down and disarming him. Our condolences go out to Daniel's mother and his agency and friends. He will be greatly missed.

New Instructors at the Government Training Institute
James McAlarney
James McAlarney has over seventeen years Special Operations management, leadership training and operational experience in a variety of high-stress environments. He has conducted combat operations in both Gulf wars, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Africa. He has also worked across the globe with U.S. and multi-national law enforcement in training and in real world missions.
Dennis O'Connor
Dennis O'Connor has three years of military experience with the United States Army, Military Police along with 25 years of experience in law enforcement. Dennis O'Connor has participated in high profile drug investigations and as a member of the S.W.A.T. team, has participated in numerous S.W.A.T. operations as an operator and team leader.

Anti Terrorism/Force Protection
Department of Defense (DoD) policy requires that all DoD military and civilian personnel and supporting defense contractors receive an Anti Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) briefing before travelling to most destinations outside the United States.

Top Student Award
Sergeant Ron Santucci with the Ada County Sheriff Department was named the "Top Student" during his participation in GTI's Type 2 SWAT course. Nice work Sergeant Santucci!
Generation II Target System
Generation II Target
The Generation II Target System features a 3/8" Armor Plate Steel (harder than AR500) and includes Base, Stanchion, Large (sniper) hostage head. The plate face can be switched to other side to keep a very clean face plate for close pistol work. Capable of thousands of rounds. Ballastic Details:

.308 capable @ 25 yards (no military hardened core ammo)
.223 capable @ 25 yards with JSP or HP ammo
.223 capable @ 100 yards with FMJ
Capable of all handgun ammo

***We do not recommend firing any ammo at distances closer than 15 yards (due to bullet splash)***
