GTI’s DHS Type III SWAT course trains officers to operate in personal protective equipment (PPE) and CBRNE environments.

Type III SWAT was created to standardize Part-Time team SWAT training throughout the United States and to define for Incident Commanders asset capabilities and current resources available during a crisis. This program is the first model program for nation-wide SWAT team classifications and gives team commanders training programs and asset requirements to be considered a Type III Category SWAT Team.

GTI's Joint Operation Center (JOC) is a premier tactical training center for today's military and law enforcement personnel. Our South Carolina facility is strategically located half way between New York and Miami which puts it within one day’s drive for over seventy-five percent of the United States’ population.
