GTI COURSES Military Courses | Law Enforcement Courses Counter Ambush Techniques Techniques: This 5 day course is designed for military units operating in urban environments that pose a high risk of ambush, whether the ambush is an IED, sniper or direct assault. This course will cover movement and route planning, route reconnaissance techniques, screening, counter ambush operations, reaction to ambush and force protection measures. Organization of convoys and the utilization of vehicle mounted and individual weapon systems. Students will learn advanced shooting skills that range from precision reaction shooting to target discrimination. Advanced close quarter combat techniques are taught to the students for the unplanned occupation of buildings for downed vehicle drills. Intense realistic drills are conducted throughout the course. The student will possess the skills and confidence necessary to effectively prevent or react to vehicle ambushes.
